This complex is composed of a convention center that can seat 1,200 persons, a 40-room hotel and a 166-bed hostel (dormitory type). The property is along the ridge road. Across one can appreciate the famed Taal Volcano. The smallest volcano in the world, dubbed also as a lake within a lake, a volcano within a volcano.

BP International Makiling is owned by the Boy Scouts of the Philippines and is being managed by El Cielito Hotels starting September 2012. The hotel has 40 rooms nested within secluded tropical gardens on the hillside of Mount Makiling adjacent to the Los BaŮos Campus of the University of the Philippines.
